It wasn't a great decade for the movies, but there were so many reasons for it.

It is not by accident that in 1950 two films were made that sought to attract viewers by subjects other than the less-watched partisan genre.

The beginning of the decade was marked by two trends, films directed towards a mass audience and auteur films.

In the early 1970s, Yugoslav cinema was the most radical in Eastern Europe.

The 1980 Pula Film Festival had an impressive program.

The last yugoslavian Pula Film Festival was last held from June 30 to July 7, 1990.

Despite the fact that the war in the former Yugoslav republics ended in the mid-1990s, it took time for Serbian films to be shown regularly in Croatian cinemas and vice versa.
